Babysitting 911

Hello to all. First of, thank you for taking time to read my blog. If you've found me, you're one of the many parents out there who needs time for themselves, away from your children.

Let me share a little about myself. I'm in my 30s and have always love children. I have a full time job as the Head of Internal Audit for a software development company based in Kuala Lumpur. I discovered that I've always found it easy to build a connection with children, whether with my nieces or nephew, but with friends' children as well. I don't have children of my own but I am extremely patient with children and love spending time playing or reading to them.

Through family experiences and stories shared by others, I learned that not everyone can afford a full time maid or nanny that they can leave behind with their children while they go out to do shopping, to visit the salon, to watch a play, to spend some time with friends or even for some quiet time. Today, I babysit for my sister whenever she wants some time to go out and have some fun. I've decided, why just restrict myself to only helping my family? I want to offer myself to parents who wants to do the same, on weeknights and weekends.

I have, during my college days, babysat for a few families, mainly expatriates that are still finding Kuala Lumpur their home. I don't have a professional childcare certificate but am in the midst of getting myself Montessori certified. In the mean time, I am hoping to hear your ideas, your suggestions and your feedbacks on my idea to babysit your child during nights and weekends. Some questions I have for you is what do you think of my babsitting idea? Do you think that this is something that will interest you? If so, how much are you willing to pay per hour? What are the best times that you will require a sitter? Would you prefer to send your children to my place or that I come over to yours? What can I do so that you'll be safe, secure and confident to allow me into your home and family? Please email me bbsit911@gmail.com if you do not feel comfortable to share your comments on my blog.

Looking forward to hearing from you, parents!
